An artist needs to create and also survive. This often involves having to work long hours often in a non creative job (that an artist will always try and make creative) to be able to feed our family and pay our bills. This often causes us to feel frustrated and lost not being able to be totally involved in our art. What is needed is a reality perspective on life which an artist can find difficult most of the time!
So when being asked to participate in a project to raise money for refuges who can only know how to try and survive, I felt honoured and proud that I can give a little bit of my creativity to children who should be also be creating and not just surviving.
